Overview of Elan Flash Tint Dye

Elan Flash Tint is a direct dye that works on the principle of occlusion, has a very gentle action, and leaves a rich skin stain without damaging the hairs. It is ideal for tinting brows after lamination (long-term styling) or bleaching. The formula also includes caring ingredients that do not disrupt the skin’s pH.

 

Features of Elan Flash Tint Direct Dye

Elan Flash Tint is an innovative dye that is quite easy to use once you understand its characteristics.

  1. Direct occlusive action. What is occlusion? In brow dyes, this means creating a protective film on the skin and hair surface that prevents moisture loss and ensures deeper pigment penetration.
    This allows Flash Tint to deliver more even, vibrant, and long-lasting colour.
  2. Very fast action. The dye begins working just 1–2 minutes after application due to its unique formula.
  3. No need to mix with an oxidiser. This is a direct dye and does not require mixing with an oxidant, meaning it’s ready to use straight out of the tube. This simplifies the process significantly.
  4. Caring complex. The formula includes ingredients that deeply hydrate the skin and hair, nourish them, increase elasticity, and protect against external damage (hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, collagen, amino acid complex, and argan oil).
  5. Acidic pH. This means the dye does not affect the hair's protein structure or alter the skin’s pH during tinting. It’s an ideal option for clients prone to allergies and is extremely safe to use.

Colour Theory of Elan Flash Tint

The Elan Flash Tint palette includes just 7 shades:

  • 09 Warm Brown – a warm brown shade with a red base.
  • 10 Cold Brown – a cool brown shade with a green base.
  • 11 Light Brown – a light brown with a yellow base.
  • 12 Black Truffle – a rich black shade with blue-violet undertones. Best used for mixing with other colours to create the perfect tone or for hair-stroke techniques.
  • 13 Milk Chocolate – a bright warm brown shade. Suitable after lamination or bleaching.
  • 14 Dark Coffee – a bold cool brown shade. Suitable after lamination or bleaching.
  • 15 Sweet Caramel Amber Brown – an intense warm brown shade with a yellow undertone. Suitable after lamination or bleaching.

 

IMPORTANT! Shades 09 Warm Brown, 10 Cold Brown, and 11 Light Brown have clear, vivid tones. To achieve a more neutral or cool result, be sure to add the required amount of 12 Black Truffle.

Shades 12 Black Truffle, 13 Milk Chocolate, 14 Dark Coffee, and 15 Sweet Caramel Amber Brown can be used as-is.

 

How to Work with Elan Flash Tint

Elan Flash Tint is ready to use without the need for an oxidiser. Simply mix the required shades (or use them pure) and apply to prepped skin following the brow map.

The dye does not darken hairs if applied in a thin layer.
If you want to fully tint the hairs, apply a thicker layer.

The formula acts almost instantly, so you can treat each brow separately — tint one first, then the other.

 

Elan Flash Tint Processing Time

Elan Flash Tint acts almost instantly and develops in 1–15 minutes (depending on the client’s skin).

For a light stain, leave on for 1–5 minutes with a thin layer.

For medium saturation on skin and hairs, leave on for 5–10 minutes.

For a rich, intense skin stain, extend the processing time to up to 15 minutes.
