Oxidizers for eyebrow dye

Every brow artist knows that it is impossible to color eyebrows and eyelashes without a good oxidizing agent. Today we will figure out how to choose an oxidizing agent for eyebrow coloring and why it is needed at all. To get a bright, rich color when coloring eyebrows, it is important to properly dilute the oxide, so today we will reveal all the secrets and become a little chemist ;)

Eyebrow oxidizer, or eyebrow dye oxide, is the substance by which the dye is fixed to the hair. Without a properly selected oxidizing agent or henna dilution solution, the dye simply will not work. When the mixture is applied, oxide begins to act first, it softens the stratum corneum of the hair and opens the scales so that the pigment can penetrate deeply and securely fix there. Inside the hair, oxide partially destroys the natural pigment of the hair, and the dye fills these “voids”.

Features of an oxidizing agent for eyebrow tint

You can choose a gel oxidizer or prefer a cream formulation. Which to choose? This is a matter of taste, but it is worth considering the features of the oxidizers of each brand. For example, if you are using RefectoCil Blond #0, please note that it only works with a cream oxidizer. It also makes sense to choose a cream composition if you have a large flow of customers - it will be more economical in consumption. Unlike gel, cream-based pigment is thicker and more viscous, so if you are used to working with dense textures, cream oxidizer will be your favorite, and if you prefer a more liquid tint, choose gel.

Modern oxidizing agents contain not only peroxide but also caring components - castor oil or mineral seed oil, jojoba, or peach. Essential oils moisturize and protect hairs well, so the eyebrows receive not only color but also nutrition.

Proportions of dye and oxidizer for eyebrows

To get the right shade of eyebrow dye, it is important to respect the proportions. The oxidizing agent with the dye is diluted 1: 1 or considered as drops according to the instructions. After mixing, we bring the composition to a homogeneous consistency (it is convenient to do this with a tint mixer) and apply it to previously degreased eyebrows, after which we keep the time indicated in the instructions.

How to breed henna for eyebrows

Henna is a natural product, so it is diluted with a non-oxidizing agent containing hydrogen peroxide. But it makes no sense to dilute henna for eyebrows with ordinary water, because it may contain impurities of chemical elements, chlorine, and other impurities, interaction with which can give an undesirable color. The mineral solution is special purified water, using which you are guaranteed to get the color of the dye declared by the manufacturer.

Mineral solution for breeding henna

Mineral solutions from leading brands will help you get a uniform color mixture with maximum brightness. The henna and mineral solution are diluted in a ratio of approximately 2:1, but it all depends on the composition of what density you are used to working with. Professional solutions contain the optimal composition of minerals so that you get a convenient, flexible, and economical tint.
