PMU Aftercare Soap

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure during which the upper layers of the skin are interfered with. Therefore, disinfecting and antiseptic measures play an important role.

Not only tools that have direct contact with the skin are subject to mandatory disinfection, but also the room itself and the PM artist's workplace. Contact surfaces in tattoo and permanent makeup parlors must be treated after each client. Thus, you will ensure not only the safety of the work of the PM artist but also the trust of customers that nothing threatens their health.

All permanent makeup materials that are suitable for disinfection must be treated with special solutions and sterilized in special equipment - autoclave or dry heat, pre-sealed in kraft bags. These packets must be broken directly at the client during the procedure.
All materials that cannot undergo chemical and ultraviolet treatment should be disposable and discarded after the procedure. Disposable materials include tattoo needles, cartridges, caps, pigment containers, markers, and disposable gloves.

Before starting work, the tattoo artist must disinfect not only the workplace and tools but also his hands. For this, various alcohol-based disinfectants are used.

During and after applying permanent makeup or tattooing, the PM artist treats the skin with special disinfectants. These products, in addition to disinfection, soothe irritated skin, smooth and moisturize. The following products from Dr. Gritz are especially popular:

  • disinfectant foam;
  • pink soap;
  • Green soap

Dr. gritz's additional tattoo materials have a pleasant smell, and delicate texture, are enriched with useful ingredients, quickly absorbed into the skin without leaving stickiness.
The artist of permanent makeup will definitely advise you to use antiseptics for tattooing to treat the tattoo area so that the healing goes as quickly and painlessly as possible.

How to properly dispose of waste after tattooing and permanent makeup

After the permanent makeup procedure, there are many materials that are not subjected to further processing. These are needles, cartridges, cotton swabs and discs, tampons, caps, containers for pigments, rubber gloves, paper sheets, and napkins, etc. They must be properly disposed of so as not to harm either people or the environment.

All medical institutions and beauty salons, when disposing of waste, must be guided by the Order of the Ministry of Health No. 325 of June 8, 2015 "On the Approval of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Rules and Norms for Medical Exits". It is here that it is described in detail how to dispose of waste so as not to harm human health and the environment. The procedure has also been determined according to which it is necessary to adhere to the rules for collecting, sorting, storing, transporting, and disposing of waste.

The most hazardous waste after the permanent is needles. They belong to category B – epidemiologically hazardous medical waste. Before disposal, they must be disinfected with special solutions or using ultraviolet radiation. Then they should be placed in moisture-proof containers with a tight-fitting lid. The container with used needles must be marked with a red stripe and the inscription "dangerous".

Medical waste for disposal is collected by a special service, with which you must first conclude an agreement.

To cleanse various liquids used in permanent makeup, Superabsorbent Magic Powder, which is a powder for disposal, can be used. It instantly turns the liquid into a gel, which greatly simplifies cleaning after the procedure.
