Brown shades Brow Xenna (Brow Henna) Review

#101 "Neutral Brown" - a warm brown shade, suitable for coloring the eyebrows of light blond girls and light brown-haired women. It opens well on light hairs, so it will suit wheaten blondes and redheads. This shade is suitable for the eyebrows of older clients - the coloring is soft and as natural as possible.

#102 "Cold Coffee" - a cold deep shade, suitable for brown-haired women with a cold hair tone. Looks flawless on girls with dark hair and brown eyes.

#103 "Intense taupe" - a cool shade, suitable for brunettes and dark brown-haired women. This is the darkest shade in the palette and can be used to darken any other shade.

#104 "Bitter Chocolate" - cool shade, suitable for girls with brown hair and brown eyes. In its pure form, it gives a rich cold brown tone to the eyebrows.

#105 "Frost Chestnut" - a warm shade, suitable for girls with dark hair with a chestnut-copper sheen. In order to adjust the color saturation, it is enough to change the consistency of the mixture and the number of applied layers.

What are Brow Xenna Concentrates used for?

There are two additional shades in the palette - concentrate, which are intended exclusively for color correction.

#110 "Graphite concentrate" - used to darken the main shade of henna or to add a cold tone.

#210 "Amber concentrate" - added to the main shade of henna in order to give it a warmer tone or add redness.

Very important! Concentrates cannot be used separately from the main shades of henna!

What shades of BrowXenna henna should a beginner artist choose?

It is important to understand that high-quality products cannot be cheap. Of course, not every beginner can afford to buy the entire line of shades at once.

The question arises: what shades of BrowXenna eyebrow henna should I take to get started and is it possible to make universal mixes? I will tell you how you can get out of this situation.

For a beginner, I recommend purchasing 4 shades: 2 warm and 2 cold.

To get started, I recommend stocking up with such shades:

  • Blonde #203 Hazelnut/Light Chestnut - warm
  • Blonde #205 Dark Blond - cold
  • Brown #105 Frosty chestnut - warm
  • Brown #102 Iced coffee - cold

These shades can be mixed with each other and get mixes that will suit each client. And having amber and graphite concentrates in your arsenal, you can additionally darken the existing shades, making them colder or warmer. This will give even more opportunities in working with henna.

BrowXenna mineral solution for henna dilution

How to use Brow Xenna henna?

The manufacturer recommends purchasing a special mineral solution for diluting henna. This will allow you to get a predictable good result after coloring. If you do not have funds, you can buy distilled water and dilute the henna with it.

If you are just beginning to work with henna for eyebrows and want to understand how henna lays down, I recommend taking a swatch on your hand and testing different textures and combinations of shades.

You can dilute henna in different proportions, this will affect the density of the shade as a result: the less saturated the henna becomes, the softer the shade will lay on the skin and hair; the more saturated you mix the mixture, the denser and more graphic your coloring will be.

Here are my recommendations to you. I am sure that this article will definitely be useful if you begin working with Brow Xenna henna. Beautiful eyebrows and grateful clients to you!

With love, Elena Burlachenko.
